Biography

A North Fork native, Kristin has always had a fascination with nature. A self described "flower-child" with a love of butterflies, birds, the outdoors and all living things. Designing gardens was a natural progression. At the age of 12 she was working on a farm, later on working in a nursery as a teen, then graduating BOCES senior year. She is extremely hard working and was recognized for her efforts when she became the manager of the nursery and greenhouses where she also learned floral design. Management took her to Pinewood Perennials Wholesale where she further expanded her knowledge of trees and plants. 

Kristin has been landscaping for over 30 years on the North & South Forks. Self taught with a keen understanding of plant types suited to the area Gardens by Kristin has been featured in Condé Nast House & Garden, Beds & Borders, The Northforker, and other local publications. Her dream jobs include water features, unlimited budgets, and to not have the deer eat anything!
